Robbery is a type of theft that involves the use or threat of force or violence against a victim. In a typical robbery, a perpetrator (or group of perpetrators) will use physical force, a weapon, or the threat of harm to take property from a victim. Robbery involves direct physical contact between the perpetrator and the victim. This makes it a particularly dangerous and traumatic crime, as victims may be injured or killed in the course of the robbery. Violent Encounters like Robbery are some of the most dangerous situations to be a part of. Victims are always presented with the threat of great bodily harm or death and the likely hood for violence is VERY HIGH! In this course we dive deep into the different types of violent encounters, helping you understand the inner workings and more importantly understand the conduct and behavior of this type of criminal. Graduates will understand how Robbers think and also understand common practices and tactics used to commit these acts so an effective protection plan can be developed and easily implemented.
